JNTUH : Process For Applying Grace Marks For B.Tech Final Year Students

Rules for the application of addition of Grace Marks:-

*.A student can add grace marks for the Maximum of TWO Subjects.

*.The addition of the Grace Marks is Valid Only for the External Examination.

*.A student can add 8 marks in total as Grace Marks. Whether all 8 marks in just one subject or any combination which suits for the maximum of 2 subjects.

*.A Student can apply for the grace marks only after receiving the Original marks memo.

*.These marks are not applicable for the internal exams and only for the external exams.

Procedure To Apply for Change of Class:-

Student can submit their application through the examination branch or through Principal of their respective college. Students can also submit their request directly to the Controller of the examinations, JNTU HYDERABAD.

*.Change of Class from 49.85 % to 50 % (Pass Class To Second Class)
*.Change of Class from 59.85 % to 60 % (Second Class To First Class)
*.Change of Class from 69.85 % to 70 % (First Class To First Class With Distinction)

GRACE MARKS:Grace marks are the marks added to the student when he/she fails in a subject and it is made sure that after the addition of grace marks (maximum 8 marks and maximum 2 subjects) he/she iseligible to get the Award of the Degree.

Rule of the calculation of Overall percentage for the Student who cleared all the Subjects and for those Who applied for the exemption of 1 or 2 Subjects:
*.If a Student Clears all his Subjects during his Academics and secures 200 credits during his academics, at this case the total percentage will be calculated after the exclusion of two subjects in which he got the less marks, hence the percentage will be calculated in the best of 192 subjects.

*.In Case a student leaves two subject i.e; exemption of two subject, the percentage will be calculated in 192 credits and by excluding those two subjects.

*.If a Student leaves 1 Subject, then the percentage will be calculated for 194 marks after the exclusion of that particular subject.

*.In case, a Student clears all his subjects and gets 200 credits, then he can not apply for the exclusion of two subject by himself, JNTUH will itself remove two subjects.

**Imp Note: If you are applying it in Tatkal process you will have to pay an amount of Rs 1000/- and if you are applying generally,then you need not to pay anything for the addition of grace marks.

JNTUH B.Tech (R13) Regulation Exemption Eligibility Criteria

JNTUH B.Tech R13 Regulation Students are Eligible to Apply for Exemption of 8 Credits Eligibility:

*.The candidate shall register for 224 credits and secure 216 creditswith compulsory subjects.

*.A student can remove any two subjects which he/she could not pass and it should be a theory subject.

*.A student can not leave any Lab/ Practical subject.

*.A student can not leave two subjects inwhich any one consists of 6 Credits i.e; Only one subject of 6 credit is allowed. Because a maximum of 8 credits are allowed as exemption.

*.All theory subjects are included in rule of exemption, including first year.

=>>Procedure of Applying Exemption : Skip 2 Subject or A Max of 8 Credits

*.If any student wants the exemption of two or single subject which he/she could not pass,he would have to fill an undertaking form by himself and submit it to the examination branch of the respective College.

*.Always keep in mind that undertaking is mandatory for the application of exemption.

*.Students have to write an application and attach the photocopy of SSC marks memo and the photocopy of all the semester’s marks memo whether regular or supply.

*.After the attachment of all the mentioned documents the request of the student for the exemption of two subjects is forwarded to the Director of Evaluation, JNTUH.

The Principals of the constituent and affiliated Engineering Colleges are here by informed that the University Examination Branch issues notification for the conduct of B.Tech/B.Pharmacy Supplementary examinations during March-2017.

The students appearingfor the above examinations commencing from 06-03-2017 are to note that the on-line registration for University examinationswill be carried out as per the time schedule given below

*.With Late Fee of Rs. 100 /- :18-02-2017 To 20-02-2017

*.With Late Fee of Rs. 1000 /- :21-02-2017 To 22-02-2017

Examination Fee:

*.FOR WHOLE EXAMINATION (ALL SUBJECTS) :Rs. 760/-

*.FOR ONE SUBJECT (THEORY/PRACTICAL):Rs. 360/-

*.FOR TWO SUBJECTS (THEORY/PRACTICAL/BOTH) :Rs. 460/-

*.FOR THREE SUBJECTS (THEORY/PRACTICAL/BOTH) :Rs. 560/-

*.FOR FOUR SUBJECTS& ABOVE (THEORY/PRACTICAL/BOTH) :Rs. 760/-

Note :
1. For the students applied for RC/RV, if theresults are not declared by the time of start of registrations for exams.,the students are advised to register as per the time schedule given in this notificationeven for the subjects in which they have failed and waiting for RC/RV results. However, if the student passes the examination in RC/RV results, the examinationfee paid for passed subjects will be refunded by the concerned Principals and the registrations of that student in that subject will be automatically deleted.

2. In case of Physical Handicapped students (deaf, dumb, hearing impaired, orthopedicallyhandicapped and visually handicapped) as per University letter No. JNTUH/EB/Concessions to Handicapped students / 2010(1), dt.26-04-2010,with relevant documental evidence are eligible for exemption of examination fee payment
